VDOT Preparing For Snowfall This Weekend

The Virginia Department of Transportation is gearing up for what could be significant snowfall this weekend.

A VDOT spokesperson says the state agency is monitoring the forecast to determine staffing levels for the weekend weather event. VDOT says staff will be working 12-hour shifts through the weekend, and possibly into Monday if the conditions require it.

On Friday, VDOT crews were already out pre-treating Albemarle County roads to make clearing snowfall easier.
