State Corporation Commission To Hold Hearing On Dominion Rate Proposal

Domination Energy Virginia has asked for a new rate adjustment clause, and the State Corporation Commission will be holding a hearing on it later this year.

According to a release, the clause is aimed at recovering costs incurred in compliance with state and federal environmental regulations.

It proposes a revenue requirement of $113.6 million during the 2019 rate year, from Nov. 1, 2019 to Oct. 30, 2020, to fund environmental projects at four of the company’s power stations across the Commonwealth.

Dominion says this rider would increase the monthly bill of an average residential customer using 1,000-kilowatt hours a month by about $2.15.

The SCC will hold a public hearing on June 11 in Richmond and comments can also be submitted through the SCC website.
