Charlottesville police chief RaShall Brackney and former U.S. and Virginia Poet Laureate Rita Dove were the guest speakers at last night’s Quadruplicity conference, held at the Doubletree Hotel in Charlottesville.
The Quadruplicity Conference celebrates women in business, sponsored by the Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce.
Chief Brackney spoke about her experiences in the white, male-dominated field of law enforcement, and she urged the audience to be inclusive and aware and to share their personal experiences to make connections with others from different backgrounds.
