Parenting POWER is the result of collaboration between a number of community agencies that work to support children, families and parents. Says Carol Fox, Project Leader from Safe
Schools/Healthy Students: “This event capitalizes on the experience and expertise of many community partners and really does harness the POWER of multiple agencies that support parents and children in our community. All of us want this day to be energizing and uplifting for parents.” Adds Brenda Sampe, Child Protective Services Supervisor for the City of Charlottesville Department of Social Services, “The planning team for Parenting POWER really believes that the most important things we could offer parents are support for some of the difficult issues they face and affirmation of the critical roles they play in the lives of their children. We hope they’ll find both at Parenting POWER, and we hope our collaborative can be a continued source of information, inspiration and support in the future.”
