WAS 5k Run
Fundraiser to Benefit Wintergreen Adaptive Sports
Area runners will don their brightest neon colored clothing for the WAS 5k Run on Saturday, April 27, 2013at 10 AM. Hosted by Wintergreen Adaptive Sports (WAS), the 5k run fundraiser will start and finish at the Devils Backbone Brewing Company in Roseland (NelsonCounty), Virginia.
Both participants and volunteers can preregister online for the “WAS 5k Run” at wintergreenadaptivesports.org. Packet pickup and late cash only registration is on race morning between 8:45 a.m.and 9:30 a.m. Sponsorship opportunities are still available.
The registration fee is $30 for the race and a t-shirt or $20 for just the race. All proceeds from this event supports WAS in its mission to improve the lives of those with disabilities through outdoor sports and recreation. At WAS, “all we see is possibility.”

Wintergreen Adaptive Sports offers adaptive instruction in alpine skiing, snowboarding, kayaking, and canoeing for participants of any age or disability level. Our mission is to improve the lives of individuals with a disability through outdoor sports and recreation.
Located in the Blue Ridge Mountainsof Virginia, next to the slopes of Wintergreen Resort and adjacent to Wintergreen’s beautiful LakeMonocan, all we see is possibility.
