Run and Remember – a 5K Walk/Run to Benefit Hospice of the Piedmont
Saturday, May 11 at 8:00 a.m., Keswick Hall
Registration begins at 6:30 a.m.
(Charlottesville, VA- May 11, 2013) For the 12th consecutive year, the 5K Run and Remember will be held on the beautiful grounds of Keswick Estate to benefit Hospice of the Piedmont. The run is held in memory of Sally Carle, beloved former Keswick resident and friend.
Proceeds from the race help Hospice of the Piedmont work toward a day when no one in central Virginiadies alone or in pain. “We work hard every day to ensure that we provide excellent, compassionate care to many of our neighbors at the end of their lives,” commented Jim Avery,
Melba Campbell, Race Committee Chairperson said: “This event is very special to those of us who knew Sally Carle. We are very proud that we continue to honor her memory while supporting Hospice of the Piedmont. With the help of our sponsors and participants this event gets bigger and better each year.”
New this year – participants can “plant” a flower pinwheel in the MemorialGardenin honor of a loved one for a nominal, additional donation.
