The American Cancer Society presents “Bark for Life”, an event to fight cancer.
September 14th at Darden Towe Park in Charlottesville. Registration is from 8:30 til 9am, then the opening ceremonies and survivor lap with paws hitting the trail at 9:30. There will be games and contests, from 10 till 11:45 and the closing ceremonies and top dog award at noon. This is sponsored by Charlottesville Veterinary Hospital. Bark for life is a non-competitive dog walk to raise money for cancer research. Each canine participant till receive a bandana and goodie bag. For even more information call 434-978-7423 or visit
Some rules,, One dog per person, Dogs must always be on a leash no longer than 6 feet, Proof of up-to-date vaccinations is required, Bark for life is limited to humans, and dogs, and you must clean up after your dog. Event organizers reserve the right to turn away dogs that are a threat to the other participants.
