(Metro) An Ohio pharmacist thinks a good place to start when it comes to spring cleaning is your medicine cabinet.
Angela Giallourakis with Cleveland Clinic says it's important to take an inventory of your medications first.
It's important to check the expiration that's on the label or bottle, and toss it out if it's expired.
She also recommends opening the bottles, looking at the medicine and smelling .it. She says to throw away any tablets that look chalky or are broken.
And if a liquid medicine has thickened or smells funny, it should also go in the trash.
