Due to the change in the path of Hurricane Florence, officials at the Rivanna Solid Waste Authority now say its facilities will remain open.
Initially, announcements were made that the Ivy Material Utilization Center on Dick Woods Road and the McIntire Recycling Center on McIntire Road would be closed due to the storm – but with current updates to the forecast, both facilities will now maintain their normal hours.
But if the weather conditions change again, hours could be altered.
