A Charlottesville woman is asking local residents to donate clothes, water and household items that she is offering to take to the Carolinas herself in a grass roots relief effort — Siporah Winsheimer plans to pack her truck and trailer with as many items as possible and she is willing to make multiple trips.
On Saturday, Winsheimer called out to friends in a Facebook posting asking for donations of bottled water, flashlights, toiletries and pet food that she will pick up before heading south sometime early Wednesday morning – go to www.facebook.com/siporah.winsheimer.
