27th Annual Day Of Caring

Thousands of people in the Charlottesville area gave back to their community on Wednesday through the United Way-Thomas Jefferson Area’s 27th annual Day of Caring.
About 2,000 local people who volunteered for Day of Caring worked on hundreds of different projects across the area.
Richard Brownlee, a retired Darden Professor and United Way board member said the Day of Caring is one of the most rewarding parts of serving on the board — “watching people improve the community here in Charlottesville.”
