Bird Scooters Coming To Charlottesville

A new fleet of electric scooters will soon be coming to Charlottesville. The City announced Thursday that it has approved a permit for electric scooter company Bird to operate as part of a dockless scooter and bicycle pilot program.

According to a release, Bird plans to deploy 100 scooters in the City as early as this week.

This is the second permit that the City has granted for dockless mobility devices. In December, Lime began to operate electric scooters and bicycles in Charlottesville.
