Lloyd Snook Announces Run For Charlottesville City Council

Attorney Lloyd Snook has become the latest candidate to join the race for Charlottesville City Council.

In a Facebook post Thursday, Snook said he will seek the Democratic nomination. Goals outlined in his post included addressing what he called “dysfunctional” leadership in the City government.

This latest update in the City Council race comes after Democrats Sena Magill and Michael Payne launched their campaigns earlier this week.

Three City Council seats will be up for election in November and Councilors Wes Bellamy, Kathy Galvin, and Mike Signer have not announced whether any of them will seek re-election. The Democratic primary will take place June 11.
